The International Conference ELMECO-11 takes place from September 12th to September 15th, 2024, at the Hotel Viktoria in Lublin.

Lublin is the capital and the largest city in the Lublin Voivodeship and Eastern Poland. Home to five public universities, including the John Paul II Catholic University and Lublin University of Technology, and a wide range of private universities, it is also the leading center of higher education in the region. Every year, more than 7,000 new foreign students from over 100 countries arrive in Lublin. Students willingly choose Lublin due to the comfortable living conditions and high-quality education it offers.

Lublin is home to numerous unique cultural events. Situated at the frontier between the European Union and Eastern Europe, Lublin has for many years played host to popular and renowned international festivals dedicated to theater, music, and literature. A wide selection of theaters, galleries, and museums, as well as student clubs, art. cafes, and pubs, many of them tucked inside the historic tenement houses in the Old Town, offer a place of entertainment and rest for both the local population and the ever-growing number of tourists.

It is the abundance and diversity of cultural events, as well as the energy of young people living here, that have made Lublin the first Polish city to be awarded the title of European Youth Capital 2023.

We warmly invite you to participate in the ELMECO-11 Conference, during which we provide additional activities related to exploring the city of Lublin.
